How to book guests on your podcast: Gmail Auto Follow Up tool by CloudHQ

In this post, I’m going to talk about one of the tools I use to book guests for the Tunecreators podcast.

And that is the Gmail Auto Follow Up tool by CloudHQ.

In order to maintain a weekly podcast, you need to have a new guest every week.

This means I send out a lot of emails each week – at least 30 every week.

And I use a cold email sequence of up to 3 emails for each person – the second and third emails going out 4 and 8 days after the first one respectively, if the recipient doesn’t open or respond to any.

Now imagine if you had to do that manually?

I’d loose track of all my emails, won’t be able to book any guests for the show and probably end up insane

So to manage this guest booking process effectively, you need to tool to help with this.

Thankfully there are a bunch of tools available to do this – and trust me, I’ve tried a bunch of them – but the one that I’ve found that does all of this really well and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg to do so is Gmail Auto Follow up tool by CloudHQ.

It’s a chrome plugin that’s designed for Gmail and gives you the ability to send follow-up emails automatically.

It’s a great app that’s very easy to use as well.

When you log in to the app, you’re greeted with an easy-to-follow dashboard that shows you all the data you need to manage outreach campaigns like my guest booking campaign.

For example, when you send a message out you’ll see who you sent it to, if it was opened at all, when it was opened, and when the user replied if they replied.

Great data for knowing exactly when and who to follow up with to book on the show.

I came across this tool after trying out several, more expensive alternatives and haven’t gone back since trying it.

The best thing about Gmail Auto Follow-up tool by CloudHQ is that it’s free to use, but the free version is limited to about 50 emails a month.

Which isn’t too bad if you’re not sending out crazy emails as I do!

Definitely worth checking out.
