5 reasons to use Anchor to host your podcast

Although the P.A.L.M podcasting strategy is designed to help you launch a video podcast that your followers can watch, there will be times when your followers will want to listen to your show.

Like when they’re driving to work, working out, or even taking a shower.

To allow them to do this, you’re going to need to upload the audio-only version of your show to a podcast hosting service, and then make your show available on podcasting apps like Spotify, Apple podcasts, and so on.

Now there are a couple of podcast hosting services out there on the web, however, my favorite and the one I recommend for all my clients is Anchor.

Here are 5 reasons why

1. It’s owned by Spotify

For one it’s owned by Spotify now, so it integrates really well with that platform. They make it effortless to get your show live on Spotify.

Also because it’s owned by Spotify, you can rest assured that it’s not going anywhere soon as podcasting is now a major part of Spotify’s strategy going forward.

They have massive plans for podcasting and have been investing a ton.

2. It’s easy to use

Secondly, Anchor is super easy to use. Some of the podcast hosting services available have too many features and this can be quite daunting for new users.

Not Anchor.

It’s got a very simple and easy-to-follow user interface that even the most tech-challenged of us can navigate.

All you need to do is just follow the instructions and your good to go.

3. It’s completely free

Anchor provides podcasters with all the tools and features you’ll need to run a show.

From the ability to record your show, to adequate statistics and it even helps you submit your show to iTunes, Spotify, Google Podcast, and all other podcast platforms.

And it does all this for free!

That’s right, free!

Some other podcasting platforms charge a monthly fee for pretty much the same thing or a little bit more features.

But unless you plan to run a network, or need advanced statistics for your show, you should be good with using Anchor as your service.

4. You can get paid with Anchor

If your show is doing some pretty good numbers, then you can apply to enable monetization for your podcast and get paid as a result.

Making you some extra change in the process.

Anchor makes all this super easy as well. They handle everything for you so you don’t have to worry about finding businesses to pay you for placing ads on your show.

5. It’s got great statistics

Want to know who’s listening to your podcast, what country has the most listeners, or the age range of your listeners?

Anchor has got you covered.

The statistics that it provides show you this data and then some.

And it does so in a beautiful, well laid out way that makes it easy to understand what really going on with your listeners.
